How to navigate a health care system that isn’t ready to admit your new friend
Dietitian Lisa B. Hoehner, a former vice president at Pfizer, has joined the advisory board of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
The organization says she has extensive experience in the field and has consulted on more than 60 million cases of pediatric asthma.
Her experience in this field gives her the expertise to guide the organization on how to address this problem, the academy says in a statement.
“Ms. Hoeshner is a strong advocate for children and families, and is an advocate for the most vulnerable in society,” the academy said.
Hueshner is the author of “The Children’s Health Revolution,” a book on the future of pediatric care that was published in March.
The American Academy also lists her as a co-author on a book of essays, “My Family: The Future of Care for All,” which is available online.
